Summer Movies

We haven't gone to the movies in awhile.  Summer is a great time to relax at the end of the day with a great favorite and a wine.  Or soda and popcorn.  Here are 5 more of my favorites, and what a line up:  2 comedies, 2 chick flicks, and one sci-fi.

1.  The Princess Bride
2.  There's Something About Mary
3.  Summer of '42
4.  Silver Streak
5.  The Day The Earth Stood Still

I love the Princess Bride. Great characters, great casting. Timeless story, well done.

TSAM gets me laughing every time, guaranteed.

Summer of '42....ah, one to love for so many reasons.  Funny, poignant, a story that touches all levels of humanness, and makes us sigh, long after the credits roll.

Silver Streak....a  CLASSIC, for all time. NEVER tire of seeing this one.

The Day The Earth Stood Still...the 1951 version of  course.  It's the oldie this time, and deservedly so. I seldom...ok, never, watch science fiction, but this one is different. You'll see.

Spoiler alert:  upcoming posts....on my recently departed cat, and once again a walk with ghosts in Oakwood cemetery.  I guess these two are somehow remotely related.
